Profiling tools that transform the way you build your team
We have an inhouse NBI Practitioner who can assist you and your company to complete the online surveys and consult on understanding your profile results.
The NBI® brain profile is a 30-question diagnostic survey developed to measure thinking preferences. Gaining insight into the way we prefer to think makes us more aware of and sensitive to the preferences of others.
The NBI results include a four-quadrant brain profile as well as a second 8 Dimensions brain profile result providing insights into an individual’s thinking preferences.
Developing better relationships, making more dynamic contributions to the team, and making sound and relevant decisions are but a few of the advantages of understanding an individual’s thinking profile.
NBI results are neither good nor bad. The NBI® provides a profile of thinking preference which is a descriptive, objective analysis of the individual’s thinking choices, with no profile being better or worse than another.
The NBI® brain profiles aim to help you:
- Understand your employee’s unique thinking preferences, communication style, etc.
- Gain insight into how your employee resolves conflicts in their professional life.
- Gain insight into how to improve their creativity and leadership abilities.
- Select the best-suited employees for new positions.
- Develop effective teams in your business.

Strategic insights for individual & team development
NBI General Adult
The NBI General Adult profile offers an extensive and comprehensive insight into an individual’s cognitive preferences and thinking patterns. It’s important to note that within this assessment, there’s no hierarchy of ‘better’ or ‘worse’ profiles. Instead, it provides a detailed and impartial analysis of an individual’s thinking style and offers recommendations based on these preferences.
Through the Brain Profile, it becomes possible to gain valuable insights into an individual’s approach, such as:
- How an individual acts towards other people.
- How an individual does business.
- How an individual communicates.
- How an individual learns.
- How an individual teaches.
- How an individual solves problems.
- How an individual forms relationships.
Furthermore, the NBI Profile tools serve not only for individual hiring insights but also as a powerful resource for understanding team dynamics. It enables the identification of collective strengths and weaknesses within a team context. This in-depth understanding can aid in optimizing team performance and fostering a more cohesive and productive work environment.
For teams that have undergone this analysis, there’s the added benefit of comparing individual skill sets and strengths. By delving into each team member’s profile, a comprehensive comparison of skills and strengths can be drawn out, further enhancing the team’s overall understanding of its composition and potential areas for development.
Additionally, the NBI Profile offers various add-ons, each providing specific insights and value additions to the overall assessment. These add-ons can further enrich the understanding of an individual’s cognitive tendencies and preferences.

Additional add-ons

NBI Skills
This tool identifies individual skills. Sometimes, an individual’s skills might not align with their preferences. Liking something doesn’t guarantee having the skills for it – you might love singing but lack the skills. Conversely, you might excel in accounting but have little interest in it. Maintaining passion becomes tough when preferences and skills don’t match well.

NBI Jobs
This instrument is a descriptive, non-judgmental assessment that identifies the skills needed in every quadrant to succeed at a particular job. The profile report focuses the specific quadrant scores and makes recommendations based on these scores. This instrument can be used to design the job profiles of every existing and future job in the company – and an understanding of the type of people who should fill those jobs.

NBI Leadership Style
Understanding an individual’s Leadership Brain Profile unveils their style, priorities, and potential areas for growth. It empowers them to enhance relationships, elevate contributions at work, and make informed decisions. This profile doesn’t label preferences as good or bad but objectively outlines an individual’s thinking choices. It highlights their strengths and suggests areas where honing skills could align with their natural inclinations for a more effective career path.

NBI Whole Brain
The Whole Brain profile reveals an individual’s preferred managerial style and its influence on how they lead others. It pinpoints their priorities and areas for growth. This assessment focuses on thinking preferences, not the skills to execute them. For instance, someone might Favor a manager strong in planning and organization but hasn’t developed those skills personally.

NBI Client Relationship
The NBI® Client Relationship profile is a non-judgmental assessment that identifies an individual’s client interaction preferences across four quadrants. It explains high, average, and low scores in each quadrant. Sometimes, their approach with clients might differ from their general brain preferences, often due to learned skills that have been effective but might not precisely align with their natural inclinations.

NBI Personal Negativity
The NBI® Personal Negativity instrument will give you greater insight into an individual’s negative thinking. It identifies the processes most likely to cause them negativity and block their happiness and success. Once you (and the organization) have identified the essence of the negativity the right solutions become very possible.
